Lake County Sheriff Arrests Registered Sex Offender for Possession of Pornography

Winthrop Harbor, IL (WLIP)—Lake County Sheriff’s detectives arrested 57 year old Thomas Rix, who is a registered sex offender, after he allegedly uploaded pornographic images to a social media page.
When detectives couldn’t locate him at his registered address in Winthrop Harbor, they discovered he had been living in Twin Lakes, where he was reportedly without updating authorities.
An analysis of Rix’s phone allegedly revealed disturbing images, including one pornographic image of a young girl he knew from a prior residence.
Rix has been charged with child pornography with his next court appearance set for October 23.
