LCMCTF: 17-Year-Old Dead After Shooting Last Night in Round Lake Area

(Round Lake, IL) A homicide investigation is underway in Round Lake. Lake County Major Crime Task Force officials say they responded to the area of Cedar Lake Road and Rollins Road on Wednesday night after a phone had dialed 911. They discovered a vehicle with bullet damage, and inside a 17-year-old Fox Lake teen who was rushed to the hospital but died. Authorities believe the incident happened elsewhere, and that 3 people were in the car when the shooting took place. The Major Crime Task Force, Round Lake Police and the Lake County Coroner’s Office are all assisting in the investigation.
