Libertyville To Deny Marijuana, Other Areas Moving Forward

(Waukegan, IL) Now that Governor JB Pritzker has signed recreational marijuana into law, some Lake County areas are starting to figure out whether to get in on the ground floor.
Libertyville officials are leaning against the sale of marijuana within the village, but plan on reaching out to residents before making a final decision.
Two areas bordering Libertyville are also trying to make a decision on legal pot sales.
Mundelein says discussions aren’t likely until the fall, while Vernon Hills says they are seeking further information on the new law, before making any decisions.
