Listen: KUSD Announces Board Candidates; Meadows Vows to Fight Ouster

KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)–Kenosha Unified has released the list of candidates from which a new school board member will be appointed.

The seat currently held by Eric Meadows will be vacated on April 26th-the end of the board’s current term.

Due to an election issue from last year, the seat will not be on this year’s ballot as it should have been.

The board will instead appoint a new member to serve for a year.

Besides Meadows, Carl Bryan, Megan Norris, and Brian Thomas submitted a letter of interest by yesterday’s deadline.

A special meeting will be held on Monday at 6 PM at the Indian Trail high school auditorium in which the candidates will be interviewed by the board and one is expected to be selected.

However, Eric Meadows vows to fight his ouster from the board.

He told WLIP’s Lip Off that he shouldn’t have to pay for someone else’s mistake.

Meadows also says he hopes the board appoints him back to his seat Monday night.
