Man Arrested on Warrants, New Charges in Vernon Hills

(Vernon Hills, IL) A Mundelein man was arrested on outstanding warrants, and received some new charges in the process.
Lake County Sheriff’s officials say Francisco Pina was wanted for failure to appear on several things including child pornography. Pina was located Monday at a Vernon Hills apartment, where he allegedly threatened to jump from a 6th floor balcony.
The 18-year-old eventually surrendered, but an AR-15 and drugs were found in his possession within the apartment.
Pina now faces his warrants, as well as new charges of unlawful possession of a weapon, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver.
Bond is currently set at 250-thousand-dollars.
