Man Detained After Winthrop Harbor Burglary, Also Wanted in Kenosha County

(Winthrop Harbor, IL) A Beach Park man is facing multiple charges, stemming from an attempted burglary earlier this month. Prosecutors say Robert Tello reportedly broke into a Winthrop Harbor gun store after hours back on October 4th…but found the weapons he was seeking under lock and key. The 30-year-old left with no items, but ran right into police, who found him with a pair of hammers and a crowbar. Tello faces counts of burglary, criminal damage to property, possession of burglary tools and more. He also has an outstanding failure to appear warrant in Kenosha County.
