Man Dies After Kenosha County House Fire

Kenosha, WI (WLIP)—A man found at the scene of a house fire in Salem Lakes on Sunday morning has died.

The Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department reported that deputies and fire and rescue personnel responded around 9:30 a.m. to a house on the 12600 block of 257th Avenue after receiving reports of smoke and a welfare check request from a neighbor.

Firefighters discovered a man who was unconscious and not breathing.

He was transported to a nearby hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

The cause of the fire and the unidentified man’s death are still under investigation.
