New Info: Fans Left Out of Kenosha Bradford-Franklin Game After Threat Made Against Player
Kenosha, WI (WLIP)–More information is known about what led to fans not being allowed into the football game between Bradford and Franklin high schools in Franklin Friday night.
Contrary to initial reports, no Bradford player made threats nor was under investigation at any time.
Sources tell WLIP News that three weeks prior to the game students from a Racine high school made threats against the player-threating to “end” him when he turned 18-which happened last week.
The player had reportedly mocked the death of a gang member in Racine on social media and members of that gang threatened to come to Friday’s game to retaliate.
Once Bradford’s administration was made aware of the threat they informed Franklin High School which made the decision to not allow fans out of fear that a Kenosha gang would show up to defend the Bradford player.
The decision to keep the fans home was made out of an abundance of caution.
