(Long Grove, IL) Lake County Sheriff’s officials say there have been no arrests in the death of a Long Grove woman.
Officials say evidence shows that Barbara Bell Powers grabbed a gun during an argument with her husband on Monday afternoon. The 47-year-old fired one shot that missed the husband, and lodged into the wall.
Powers and her 51-year-old spouse then tussled over the gun, which discharged, striking the woman in the head. She was pronounced dead at the scene. The male was questioned, and is said to be fully cooperating with the investigation. No charges have been filed at this point.
