Pfizer, Moderna Both Seeking Approval For 2nd Booster Shot

Both Pfizer and Moderna are asking the FDA to approve a second booster shot of their respective COVID-19 vaccines.
Pfizer says the additional shot would be intended for seniors, while Moderna cited “those at higher risk of COVID-19 due to age or comorbidities”.
Pfizer claims that research suggests the booster’s effectiveness begins to decrease after 3-6 months.
