Public Comment Changes Nixed in District 60

(Waukegan, IL) The Waukegan District 60 School Board has backed away from a proposal that would have limited public comments during meetings.
District 60 was looking into the possibility of limiting public comment topics to things on that night’s agenda, or the meeting prior only. Some saw that as a limitation of free speech.
A proposal that asks the public to exhaust all administrative options before bringing a concern to the board…has been kept in place.
