Rain Deluges Area; Records Set as Flood Watch Remains

KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)–Heavy rains deluged the area yesterday with some places reporting record amounts.

As of Sunday night, the city of Racine received just over nine inches of rain-the most on record in more than a century.

Kenosha reported less-at about 5 inches.

As the rain continued on into the evening the National Weather Service issued a Flood warning that lasted late into the night.

A Flood Watch remained in effect Monday until 1 PM with more showers in the forecast.
