KENOSHA, WI–A Kenosha tavern was awarded a cabaret license this week despite an incident that happened outside the establishment last weekend. Three people were arrested in two separate incidents that happened early Saturday outside of Red Zone, in the 48-hundred block of Sheridan Road. Red Zone’s owner Duvall Coates says that while the incident was unfortunate, it’s not unique.
Kenosha Police Chief Daniel Miskinis says that his opinion about Red Zone’s license is unchanged.
The council voted 8-6 to approve the license. Cabaret licenses must be renewed yearly and can be pulled by the police chief at any time.
