Somers Man Convicted of Murder in Botched 2021 Robbery
Somers, WI (WLIP)–A Somers man has been convicted of murder in a 2021 botched robbery that left one man dead in Kenosha.
On October 8, 2021, police were called to a four-unit apartment building on the 6300 block of 24th Avenue, where they found Marcus Giddens with a gunshot wound to his thigh.
Giddens was rushed to Froedtert Pleasant Prairie Hospital, where he died from a bullet that struck his femoral artery.
Surveillance footage showed three suspects fleeing the scene in a white sedan, and ballistics evidence linked Roscoe C. Patterson Jr. to the crime.
Patterson was convicted of first-degree intentional homicide, armed robbery, and bail jumping, facing life in prison without parole.
His sentencing is scheduled for November 7. Co-defendant Andre Williams allegedly tried to force Giddens into his apartment before Patterson shot him.
Williams will appear in court on October 3.
