Summer heat headed to Kenosha

Get ready for Kenosha’s first blast of summer heat this week.

The National Weather Service has issued a heat advisory for the Kenosha area this Tuesday and Wednesday.

Temperatures will be in the 90’s with heat indexes reaching triple digits. Southwesterly winds will not offer much relief from Lake Michigan, either.

Possible thunderstorms are forecast for Wednesday evening, with cooler temperatures as we head toward the weekend.

During the heat advisory, Kenosha residents are advised to avoid strenuous activity, utilize cooling centers and check on any elderly friends or neighbors.

Make sure any outdoor pets have access to cool water and shade.
