Suspect Arrested After Standoff With Police Monday Evening

KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)–Kenosha Police say one person is in custody after a standoff with the suspect Monday night.

It happened in the 6900 block of Sheridan Road shortly after 7:30 PM.

Police tried to execute a warrant for the suspect who refused to cooperate.

Because of prior knowledge of guns in the home, police activated the SWAT team and put a shelter in place order for the neighborhood.

Sheridan Road was also closed for about an hour.

Police say the standoff ended peacefully.

No injuries were reported and there’s no danger to the community.

The situation remains under investigation.
