Suspect Faces Burglary and Assault Charges

THIRD LAKE, Ill. (WLIP) — A 36-year-old homeless man faces multiple felony charges after allegedly burglarizing a gaming café and assaulting law enforcement officers in Lake County early Sunday.
Lake County Sheriff’s deputies arrested Gilberto Mojarro-Garcia after finding him near a burglarized gaming café on Route 45 with fresh cuts and blood-stained clothing.
Authorities said he later kicked a deputy and had to be pepper-sprayed at the county jail.
Mojarro-Garcia is charged with burglary, aggravated battery to a peace officer, and related offenses.
He remains in custody pending a Monday court appearance.
