KENOSHA, WI—The trial of a Beach Park man accused of the drunk driving crash that killed three people will be delayed.

The defense filed a motion this week to delay the start of the trial of Timothy Vandervere, which was scheduled for Monday. The defense says that they have not been allowed discovery on the crash investigation.

Reports say Vandervere was traveling in excess of 100 miles per hour on Highway 50 when he allegedly struck the back of the Jeep carrying Vince, Mary, Michael, and Gerald Rizzo. The first three suffered fatal injuries and Gerald Rizzo was severely injured but survived.

Vandervere was reportedly near four times the legal limit at the time of the crash. He’s charged with 12 felonies and faces 165 years in prison.
