Two Dead In Early Sunday Fire

KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)–The investigation continues Monday after two people were killed in a fire Sunday.

Kenosha Police and Fire responded to an apartment building in the 4900 block of 36th Avenue, just after 1:00am.

Firefighters extinguished the blaze within the hour.

Kenosha Police report that there were two fatalities.

An adult male and a juvenile male died at the scene.

As a standard practice, KPD also says it will treat this as a crime scene, but there is no evidence of foul play.

The fire was contained to the second floor, but smoke and water damage made the structure uninhabitable.
