Two Killed in Fatal Head on Crash

(Grayslake, IL) Two people were killed in a weekend crash in the Grayslake area. Lake County Sheriff’s officials say the incident stared on Saturday night along Fairfield Road near Route 60 when a van crossed the center line, sideswiped one vehicle, then crashed head on with a Kia.
The two people in the Kia, a 56-year-old Ingleside woman and a 64-year-old Round Lake Beach woman, were pronounced dead on the scene. The 51-year-old driver of the van, and the driver of the car that was sideswiped, were not seriously hurt.
The incident remains under investigation by the Lake County Sheriff’s Technical Crash Investigations Unit.
