Vernon Hills Man Gets Prison Over “Long Con” Scams

(Waukegan, IL) A Vernon Hills man is heading to prison, after negotiating a plea to so-called “long cons.” Ricky Dugo pleaded guilty to felony theft for reportedly going to people for money, for which he would then make alleged sham investments. The incidents took place between 2013 and 2018 and were said to net Dugo well in excess of 500-thousand-dollars. During a sentencing hearing, the 55-year-old was hit with 8-years behind bars, and he will be forced to pay nearly 150-thousand dollars in restitution to the victims.
