PLEASANT PRAIRIE–The Pleasant Prairie Village Board approved an agreement with Nexus Pharmaceuticals to purchase property in the village. The land located on the northwest corner of highway Q and 128th Avenue will be purchased by the company for 3-point-2 million dollars.

Last week, Nexus announced plans to build its first company owned manufacturing plant which could employ nearly 80 people. The 100-thousand square foot facility will support the production of speciality and generic injectable drugs.

The multi-phase project will take a decade to finish but manufacturing will begin in 2022. Groundbreaking is set for next month.
