Watch: Kenosha Transit Workers Seek Pay Increase

KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)–Kenosha Transit Workers are seeking a raise from the city.

A group of Kenosha Transit workers expressed that desire at last night’s Kenosha Common Council Meeting.

Transit worker Colvin Conley told the council that they are asking for salaries and compensation in line with what other communities pay.

He said that would take a 12% increase from current pay levels.

Conley says he hopes that transit workers can work with city officials to strike a new deal.

It’s the latest in the line of indicators that Kenosha and even Kenosha County will need salary adjustments in a competitive labor market.
