WIAA State Softball Tournament: The Bradford Red Devils have advanced to the semifinal game with a 5-3 win over Chippewa Falls. They play Oshkosh North at 7 PM tonight.

Wilmot loses to Pulaski 1-0.

Girls Soccer: Bradford advances with a 3-1 win over Franklin. They play Muskego which defeated Tremper 3-0. The Sectional Final is set for tomorrow night at 7 PM.

St Joe’s advances as well; edging Brookfield Academy 2-1. They’ll play Racine Prairie tomorrow. Prairie defeated Shoreland 7-0.

NWL…The Kokomo Jackrabbits (5-5) snapped the Kenosha Kingfish’s (4-6) three-game winning streak on Thursday night with a 7-3 victory. The Kingfish continue their road trip to Traverse City for a two game series tonight. The Fish return to historic Simmons Field for a late afternoon matchup against the Battle Creek Bombers. First pitch is set for 4:05 PM.  

MLB…— Christian Yelich hit his major league-leading 23rd home run and Mike Moustakas added two homers to lead the Milwaukee Brewers to a 5-1 win over the Miami Marlins. The Brewers salvaged the final game of the three-game series after getting outscored a combined 24-3 in the first two games. Brewers manager Craig Counsell says he wasn’t thrilled about dropping two of three to the last-place Marlins. The Brewers welcome the Pirates to Miller Park tonight; Brandon Woodruff gets the nod for the crew.

The Colorado Rockies beat the Chicago Cubs 3-1. Kris Bryant doubled with one-out in the sixth, and scored on Javier Báez’s two-out single for the Cubs only run. The Cubs play the St Louis Cardinals this afternoon. Cole Hammels looks for his fifth win on the season.

The White Sox were off and are in Kansas City to face the Royals. Ivan Nova takes the mound for the Sox.

NHL…The St. Louis Blues have taken a three-games-to-two lead in the Stanley Cup final as they try to win the title for the first time in their 51-season history. Jordan Binnington turned back 38 shots and Ryan O’Reilly had a goal and an assist as the Blues nipped the Bruins, 2-1 in Boston. O’Reilly assisted on David Perron’s (peh-RAHNZ’) eventual game-winner midway through the third period, and Binnington had a shutout until Jake DeBrusk beat him with 6:28 left.

NBA…Klay Thompson is set to return from a left hamstring injury for the Golden State Warriors in Game 4 of the NBA Finals against the Toronto Raptors tonight. Two-time reigning finals MVP Kevin Durant remains out, however. Durant strained his right calf on May 8 in the Western Conference semifinals. Toronto leads the best-of-seven finals 2-1.
