RACINE, WI–Racine Police have ruled an incident in which a woman drove into Lake Michigan as suicide. 40 year old Valencia Days of Racine was rescued from the water early Sunday morning but could not be revived.

According to police reports, a 911 call reported that Days was threatening suicide by driving into the water.

First responders eventually found her vehicle in about eight feet of water being pulled away from the shore by the current near the Fifth Street Boat Launch.

Authorities had been able to make contact with her but could not pinpoint her location in time to stop her from driving into lake.
