After Chase Police Arrest Suspect On Narcotics Charges

KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)–One person is in custody after he allegedly fled from a traffic stop.

It started at 8 AM when Kenosha Police tried to initiate a traffic stop in a parking lot near Washington and Green Bay Roads.

After a woman fled from the vehicle it sped away but was located on 45th Street near 50th Avenue.

The suspect reportedly fled into a nearby wooded area.

A search ensued that included drone surveillance as well as K9 Chase from the Pleasant Prairie Police Department.

Chase alerted the other officers to the suspect’s hiding spot.

The 33 year old man was arrested without further incident.

Police reportedly tried to stop the vehicle initially because there were narcotics inside.

The suspect was transported to the hospital after officers suspected that he ingested the drugs.

Additional narcotics were found near the hiding spot.
