Deadline is Tuesday For Spring Candidates To Get on the Ballot

Kenosha, WI (WLIP)–We’ll know officially late Tuesday who will be on the spring election ballot in Kenosha city and county.

The deadline for certified nomination papers is 5 PM today.

By far the most declared candidates so far is for the race to replace out-going mayor John Antaramian. 10 candidates have declared for the race and more could do so by this afternoon’s deadline.

However to get on the ballot a candidate must have a certain number of certified signatures of city residents.

If there are at least three such candidates a primary will be held February 20th.

The Spring General Election is on April 2nd.
