Deputies Respond to Fiery Crash; Driver Missing

RACINE, WI–Traffic was snarled on I-94 yesterday afternoon after a fiery crash. Now investigators are looking for the driver involved.
The Racine County Sheriff’s Department reports that deputies were called to the crash just after 1 PM, just south of the Highway 11 off ramp in Yorkville.
They found a vehicle abandoned on the interstate still in gear and running. Flames were coming from the engine compartment. Deputies extinguished the flames and were able to turn the vehicle off.
An immediate search of the area did not find the driver. 2 northbound lanes on the I were shut down as was one lane of southbound traffic for about 45 minutes.
