Family, Friends Remember Longtime Brat Stop Owner

KENOSHA, WI–Family, friends, and the Kenosha community alike are mourning the death of Jerry Rasmussen.
The longtime owner of iconic Kenosha business, the Brat Stop passed away on Friday morning after battling an illness. Rasmussen purchased the original Brat Stop with his brother in 1961 and built it into a legendary institution in the Kenosha area, helping to make the Highway 50 and I-94 intersection become one of the busiest in the country.
Jerry Rasmussen is survived by his brother, his children, his wife and many other relatives, business associates and friends.
There will be no formal funeral but a visitation for Rasmussen will be held at the Parkway Chateau from 3 until 7 PM on Thursday.
