Kenosha Common Council Approves Film Industry Resolution

(Kenosha, WI) The Kenosha Common Council approved a resolution last week that supports a bill in Madison that would establish film and television incentives as well as create a new state film office in Wisconsin. Principally sponsored by Alderperson David Bogdala, the resolution is aimed at not only bringing film productions to the state but also to Kenosha specifically. Alex Kudrna, founder of Kenosha’s Backyard Dream Studios says the creation of such an incentive will create opportunities locally for those in the creative industry. The measure passed the council by a wide margin with many alderpersons signaling strong support for the incentives.
