Man Found Guilty in December 2022 Lake County Murder Case

(Waukegan, IL) A Round Lake man is facing time behind bars, after being convicted of a Fox Lake murder. A Lake County jury found Azmi Ibrahim, Jr. guilty this week, in the December 2022 shooting death of 77-year-old Roy Hoffman. Ibrahim reportedly killed the man after a confrontation over a paid sexual encounter with a woman that the suspect had driven to Hoffman’s apartment. The 38-year-old unsuccessfully attempted to argue self-defense during trial. He now faces up to life in prison, with sentencing set for February 20th.
