The city of Racine has announced a total of 250-thousand dollars in forgivable loans to 18 local companies to help them deal with the fallout from the pandemic. The loans are aimed at preserving at least 59 jobs at various small businesses from three important economic sectors-retail, restaurants, and unique service providers. In turn the businesses agree to keep their employees on the payroll or even hire new workers in the coming months.
