Waukegan Police Arrest Two Suspects in Double Fatal Shooting

Waukegan, Il (WLIP)–Two suspects have been arrested in a Waukegan double homicide.

Ishawn Pitts was arrested Thursday after being connected to the murder of two people on February 24th in the 400 block of Powell Avenue.

According to Waukegan Police Pitts was arrested and allegedly confessed to the shooting deaths of Rodrigo Olivan and Ana Gil.

Autopsy results showed that both died of multiple gunshot wounds.

Pitts was also able to corroborate the details of the killings.

The second suspect has been identified as Tylo Eddins.

He was arrested in Killeen Texas on a separate case.

Eddins and Pitts have been charged with multiple counts of first degree intentional homicide.

Eddins was to be extradited back to Illinois.

Police say that he also allegedly car-jacked an Uber driver in Chicago and committed an armed robbery in Waukegan before picking up Pitts and committing the homicides.

Police do not believe the suspects had any connection to the victims.

After the shootings police say the suspects crashed the stolen vehicle in Zion before fleeing on foot.
