Weekend Crash in Beach Park Leaves Two Injured, One Charged

(Beach, Park, IL) A Waukegan man is facing charges, after crashing into a self-storage building over the weekend. Lake County Sheriff’s officials say the crash took place around 3 o’clock on Sunday morning in the 37-thousand block of North Sheridan Road in Beach Park. The vehicle then started on fire, and good Samaritans on scene were able to pull the driver and passenger from the burning wreckage. Both men were sent to area hospitals with serious injuries, however, the driver…identified as 23-year-old Roy Montoya-Medina, was also slapped with DUI and reckless driving charges. No other injuries were reported.
