Arrest Made in Connection With Body Found Dumped in Northern Lake County

(Old Mill Creek, IL) An arrest has been made in the case of a Chicago woman who was murdered and dumped in the Old Mill Creek area. Megan Lewis’ body was discovered on November 29th along Hunt Club Road just south of Route 173. An investigation determined the woman was pregnant, and was reportedly strangled to death inside of a vehicle in Chicago by Juan Vega-Montoya. The 37-year-old suspect then allegedly drove her body to Lake County to dump it. Investigators say evidence both near the body, and in Vega-Montoya’s vehicle connected him to the crime. He currently faces one count of concealing a homicidal death in Lake County…prosecutors in Cook County say murder charges are pending there, since the actual killing reportedly took place in Chicago.
