KENOSHA, WI—Kenosha Unified continues to lag behind the state average for standardized test scores, but there was some improvement this year.

Wisconsin’s “Forward Exam” tests Elementary and Middle School students on proficiency in Math, Science, English, and Social Studies.

At the Elementary level, KUSD students scored a 41.4 in Math, lagging behind the state, which scored a 46.1. Kenosha students improved in Science, getting a 51 compared to a 46.9 last year.

They matched the state in English at 40.6, but that represents a drop of more than 2 points while students improved by a point in Social studies to 53.4.

At the Middle School level, students improved in Science, but fell in the other three subjects.
