Mon. AM QB: Indian Trail; Carthage Notch Big Conference Wins

KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)–Game of the Week recap: The Indian Trail Hawks scored early and never gave back the lead in a 28-14 victory over cross town rival Bradford.

Justice Lovelace scored 3 TDs on the ground while L.J. Dagan added another.

The Hawks are 3-2 in conference play and 4-3 overall.

They need one win in the final two weeks to automatically qualify for the playoffs.

The Red Devils fall to 0-5 and 1-6.

Elsewhere…Tremper notched their first conference win 27-7 over Park.

ELMHURST, IL (WLIP)–The Carthage College football team picked up their first conference win of the season beating Elmhurst 57-21 on the road Saturday afternoon.

After Elmhurst struck first, Carthage marched down the field and scored on a one-yard rush from Ray Guarjardo, tying it at seven.

At the end of the first quarter, Garrett Warner returned an interception for a Firebirds touchdown making it 14-7 heading to the second quarter.

Carthage scored 13 more points to go into halftime ahead 41-14.

The Firebirds continued the momentum in the third quarter scoring 13 points then added three points in the fourth for a 57-21 score.
