Zion Juvenile Charged With Pepper Spraying Police Officer at Gurnee HS Football Game

(Gurnee, IL) A juvenile is facing felony charges, after an incident last week at a high school football game in Gurnee. Police say officers were breaking up multiple fights that started at last Thursday’s home game for the Warren Township High School, when a 15-year-old Zion girl pepper sprayed an officer. The girl was charged with aggravated battery to a peace officer and resisting arrest. Several other arrests were made of both students and adults, though all have since been released without charges. Officials say none of those detained were Warren Township students.
