Black Bear Sighting Prompts Police Response in Gurnee

(Gurnee, IL) Authorities in Gurnee say a small black bear was seen roaming the area Wednesday morning. Multiple people reported seeing the bear in the area of Gurnee Mills, especially on the Hunt Club side of the complex. Police responded to the area, but were unable to locate the animal. Officials are asking anyone who sees the bear to contact dispatch, who will ask for wildlife assistance.
