The Kenosha Kingfish will head to the Northwoods League All-Star Break on a high note after a 10-5 win over the Lakeshore Chinooks on Sunday night. Kenosha’s Jacob DeLabio made his first appearance this summer for the Kingfish. He pitched a scoreless ninth inning striking out two. The Kingfish return from the all-star break on Thursday in Wisconsin Rapids.
Tyler Beede pitched effectively into the seventh inning, had two hits and drove in the go-ahead run as the San Francisco Giants beat the Milwaukee Brewers 8-3. The Brewers host Atlanta tonight.
Jason Heyward, Albert Almora Jr. and Kyle Schwarber hit home runs and the Chicago Cubs beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 8-3 for a three-game sweep. The Cubs host Cincinnati tonight.
Chad Pinder scored all the way from first base when White Sox shortstop Jose Rondón made a throwing error in the ninth inning, giving the Oakland Athletics a 3-2 win over Chicago. The Sox are in Kansas City tonight.
