Kenosha Man Charged With Killing 26 Year Old Kenosha Mother

KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)–More chilling details have come to light in the murder of a 26 year old Kenosha mother on Monday.

26 year old Charniese Brown was allegedly stabbed and shot to death by her boyfriend 51 year old Ranon Brownlee on the back steps of their home. Prior to the killing, prosecutors allege that Brownlee sent Brown threatening texts accusing her of cheating.

On Monday around 5:30 PM Brown called 911 and the crime happened while the emergency line was open. Brownlee was said to have surrendered to police after the attack and is charged with First Degree Intentional Homicide.

He’s claiming self-defense. Autopsy reports say that Brown suffered several stab wounds and a bullet wound in her shoulder.
