KENOSHA, WI—The Kenosha Unified School District is looking to fill a vacant School Board seat.

The vacancy is left by Gary Kunich who resigned due to moving out of the district. The resignation becomes official August 1st.

Anyone who fills the seat will do so for the rest of Kunich’s term, which ends in April next year.

KUSD says that eligible candidates  must live in Kenosha, Pleasant Prairie or Somers and submit a letter of interest by Tuesday, Aug. 7, 2019. Letters should be mailed to the Educational Support Center, ATTN: Stacy Busby, 3600 52nd St., Kenosha, WI 53144. They can also be sent via fax to 262-359-7672 or email to [email protected], <mailto:[email protected]> or may be dropped off in person at the Educational Support Center, 3600 52nd St., between the hours of 7:30 a.m. and 4 p.m., Monday through Friday.

A special meeting of the board will be held within 10 days of Aug. 7, 2019, during which candidates will be interviewed.
