Libertyville Bus Crash Sends 17 to Hospital

(Libertyville, IL) A 4 vehicle crash in the Libertyville area sent several people to the hospital. The incident took place on Thursday morning when a dump truck rear ended a school bus on Route 137 near River Road.
The force of the crash sent the bus into another bus, which in turn sent that bus into a 3rd bus. The 3 school buses were part of a children’s camp out of Northbrook. Seventeen people were sent to the hospital, though none of their injuries were considered critical, nor life-threatening.
Over 100 others were evaluated by medical personnel on scene. No citations have been issued at this point, but they are expected against the 44-year-old driver of the truck.
