Man Charged for Rear Ending Waukegan Squad Car

(Waukegan, IL) A man accused of rear ending a Waukegan squad vehicle has been identified and charged. The incident took place on Sunday morning. The involved officer was hospitalized for non-life-threatening injuries after the crash. The driver of the offending vehicle has been identified as Victor Najarro-Castro. He faces a multitude of charges including aggravated DUI, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, no valid license nor insurance, and more. The 34-year-old is due in court Friday.
