Owners Assessing Damage at Sushi Restaurant

KENOSHA,WI—The owners of a popular Kenosha sushi restaurant are assessing the damage after a fire Sunday night.
No one was inside Soon’s Sushi Cafe on 54th Street and 21st Avenue when a fire began in the kitchen area of the restaurant. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
In a Facebook post Monday, the restaurant’s owners thanked the Kenosha Fire Department for its quick response but said, for now, the restaurant will remain closed until further notice.
The building is more than half a century old and has been a sushi establishment for more than 20 years.
