KENOSHA, WI—Kenosha Police were on the scene near 50th street and 52nd Avenue Thursday.

The department reports that they searched for evidence in connection with a death that took place last month. That stretch of 52nd Avenue, which was still closed to traffic as of last night, is bordered by a thick wooded area with no nearby homes or streetlights.

About 30 officers, a police dog, and an overhead drone all helped in the search process. However no apparent evidence was found.

As to the death to which the search is connected, police say it happened near the 3700 block of 45th street in late July. They also said at least one person was being interviewed by the police. No other details are known.

Officials say motorists should avoid that area, and that there’s no danger to the community.
