Reckless Homicide and DUI Charges Filed in March Fatal Crash

(Wauconda, IL)  Police in Wauconda have announced charges against a teen in connection with a fatal accident earlier this year.

Back on March 15th, a vehicle crossed the center line of Route 12 near Case Road and hit another vehicle head on…killing 16-year-old Danielle Thomas.

After months of investigating, Wauconda police determined that the driver of the offending vehicle was under the influence of cannabis at the time of the crash.

Caleb Rohrbach of Cary now faces three counts of aggravated DUI and reckless homicide, as well as two counts of aggravated reckless driving.

A 1-million-dollar bond warrant has been issued for the 18-year-old.
