Sides Rest in Brown Case; Closing Arguements Set For Thursday Morning

KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)–Closing arguments are set for Thursday morning in the trial of Allan Brown.

He’s accused of shooting K9 officer Riggs in 2021.

The prosecution wrapped up their case yesterday after calling more witnesses from law enforcement.

Two Chicago police investigators testified about the alleged crimes that brought Brown to their attention that day.

Brown is accused of shooting and killing a driver in Chicago that morning and stealing their vehicle.

After tracking the vehicle to Kenosha County, an officer alerted the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies spotted the vehicle at a gas station near highways 45 and 50 and began the confrontation with Brown that led to him allegedly shooting the K9 officer.

After the prosecution rested the defense declined to call any witnesses and rested their case.
