Two Suspects Arrested; Illegal Drugs Allegedly Recovered; Woodman’s Evacuated
KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)–Two men are in custody after they allegedly fled from authorities Tuesday.
It started around 1 PM when a Kenosha County Sheriff’s Deputy attempted to pull a vehicle over for a traffic violation on northbound I-94 near Highway C.
The suspects exited the highway and reportedly continued northbound on east Frontage Road before crashing into a field south of Highway 50.
The suspects were arrested nearby shortly after and deputies were said to have recovered a large amount of illegal drugs and two handguns were recovered.
A search of nearby Woodman’s Grocery Store ensued after deputies received a tip that a third suspect was in the store.
The store was evacuated but after an extensive search and a review of surveillance footage it was determined that there were no further suspects.
No injuries were reported and the investigation remains active.
