KENOSHA, WI (WLIP)–UW-Parkside has announced listening sessions ahead of the search for a new chancellor.
Outgoing chancellor Deborah Ford announced she was leaving the school for a new opportunity earlier this school year.
The first session will be on Monday April 17th in Bedford Hall which will focus on views from local business leaders and community members.
The second session will be for students and will be held in Parkside’s student center.
The final two sessions will be for UW Parkside employees.
Members of the search committee will engage with the audience in each session.
Among the topics will be future directions for the campus, challenges, and preferred leadership qualities.
Feedback will be used to develop a profile for future chancellor candidates.
Listening Sessions Schedule:
Listening Session 1: Local Business Leaders and Community Members
Monday, April 17, from 5-6:30 p.m. in Bedford Concert Hall, located in the Rita Tallent Picken Center for the Arts and Humanities. Light appetizers and beverages will be available from 5-6 p.m. The listening session will run from 5:30-6:30 p.m.
Listening Session 2: Students
Tuesday, April 25 from 11-12:30 p.m. in the Walnut Room of the UW-Parkside Student Center. Pizza, cookies, and beverages will be provided.
Listening Session 3: All University Employees (2 sessions)
Monday April 24 from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Alumni Room of the UW-Parkside Student Center. Some light snacks, coffee, and tea will be provided.
2nd Session: Thursday, April 27, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. in the Alumni Room of the UW-Parkside Student Center. Some light snacks, coffee, and tea will be provided.
